Dr. May Seitanidi

Dr. M. May Seitanidi (FRSA) is Associate Professor of Strategy at Kent Business School, University of Kent. She is a Visiting Professor in CSR at LUISS Business School, Rome, Italy. She has published extensively on cross-sector social partnerships in academic journals as well as popular press. Her work for over 20 years, as a practitioner and academic, focused on all types of cross-sector social interactions, previously on philanthropy and socio-sponsorship and currently on social partnerships. She was the founder of the Hellenic Sponsorship Centre (1994), the magazine “Sponsors and Sponsorships” (1995) and the “Annual Review of Social Partnerships” (2006) promoting cross-sector collaboration for the social good. In 2007 she founded the International Symposia Series on “Cross- Sector Social Interactions” organised at leading universities around the world. She has served as a consultant and trainer for many private, public, and non-governmental organizations. Books include: The Politics of Partnerships (2010, short-listed for the SIM 2013 Best Book Award), Social Partnerships and Responsible Business. A Research Handbook (2014, co-authored with Andrew Crane) and Creating Value in Nonprofit-Business Collaborations: New Thinking & Practice (2014, co-authored with James E. Austin and received the 2014 Finalist ‘Terry McAdam’ Best Book Award Book of the Alliance for Nonprofit Management). She is currently the Director of the PhD Programme at Kent Business School and the Pathway Institutional Lead in Business and Management for the ESRC Doctoral Training Partnership SeNSS.

Jean-Bernard De Milito, Economist, is currently working in the Delegation of the European Commission to South Africa where he is managing a portfolio of several Public Finance Management, Budget Support and Good Financial Governance projects. He was previously posted in South East Asia (Laos), in Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan), in the West Bank and Gaza, in Jordan (with a regional mandate ), in the Caucasus countries of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia and in the Democratic' s People Republic of Korea (North Korea). Jean-Bernard has a vast experience of Public Finance Management and Public Policy Research projects. He also has implemented important Sector Budget Support interventions in Social Protection and Education. Public Monitoring of the budget process to improve public service delivery (support to Civil Society Organisations and non-States Actors) is one of his favourite subject.
Before joining the European Union, Jean-Bernard has worked for the Shipping Industry in West Africa at senior management level.
